Richard Baumann's work has been exhibited at many galleries in New York, Massachusetts, Florida and Pennsylvania. Most recently, his work has been at the Esmond-Wright Gallery in Provincetown, and Gallery 71 on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan. His paintings have appeared in American Artist Magazine (November, 2007) and in Fine Art Connoisseur (July/August 2009 - "Three to Watch").

After receiving his BA from Pace University and his graduate teaching license in Fine Arts from the State University of New York at New Paltz, Richard came to New York City. He studied for three years at the Art Students League with Robert Maione, the well-known landscape painter and teacher.

Corporate collectors of Baumann's work include Pfizer & Company, Hale and Dorr, and Salomon Smith Barney. Private collectors include Mary-Anne Martin and Ariadne Getty.

The artist lives in Greenwich Village with his wife, Melanie, and their cat, Molly.
